The trip to Glacier National Park in 2016 that started it all!

I haven’t been traveling my whole life. In fact, I haven’t been traveling that long at all. But as my obsession with the mountains grew and grew, I was looking for ways to see new ones in different places, which lead to my first road trip to Glacier National Park in 2016. And, not to be dramatic, but that trip changed my life. It made me realize I wanted to keep going on adventures like that, even if it meant cramming in a road trip to somewhere 10 hours away just to get a weekend there. I didn’t care how hard or uncomfortable it would be, I just wanted to see it with my own eyes. I’ve been traveling that way ever since, finding the cheapest ways to get to and stay at a place (budget travel has become my favorite challenge!), which has allowed me to really stretch my travel budget each year and see a lot of amazing new sights + landscapes! Each time I go somewhere new, I leave a piece of myself there, and every time I come home, the amount of time before I feel the call to leave again gets shorter and shorter. Travel has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life, and has created almost all of my favorite memories! So, with that being said, here’s where you come into play:

Bucket list shoot locations

These are the places that I’ve visited once, or many times, that I’ve fallen head over heels in love with and have been DYING to photograph a couple, wedding, or an elopement at. You might be wondering: everyone and their mother claims to be a travel photographer or wants destination photography work, why should I choose you? Here’s why: I know these places like the back of my hand. I know when the light is amazing, where / when to get away from the crowds, and what the best time of year is to visit them. I’ve spent HOURS scouring google maps + the internet learning everything I possibly can about these places. I’ll continue to visit these places for years to come, whether I book work there or not. You can trust you’re in great hands with me at any of the following locations:

Glacier National Park, MT

Mount Rainier National Park, WA

North Cascades National Park, WA

Artist Point, WA

Hurricane Ridge, Olympic National Park, WA

Deception Pass, WA

Grand Teton National Park, WY

The Sawtooth Mountains, Stanley, ID

Maui, HI

Kauai, HI

Cannon Beach, OR

Cape Kiwanda, OR

The Columbia River Gorge, OR

Arches National Park + Moab, UT

Sedona, AZ

And of course because I’m always dreaming + daydreaming of travel, and have a continually growing list of places I’d love to go, here are some locations that I’d love to meet you in and explore for the first time together. I geek out HARD about trip planning and location research, so I can guarantee that I’ll help put together an epic day for you in a beautiful place.

Kenai Fjords National Park, AK

Denali National Park, AK

Hatcher Pass, AK

Painted Hills, OR

Rocky Mountain National Park, CO

Yosemite National Park, CA

Joshua Tree National Park, CA

My love for travel and photography just fit so well together, it would feel wrong to not incorporate the two. If you want to hire me for a wedding or session at any of these locations, I’d be happy to offer you a customized deal! Is there somewhere you’d like me to come to that’s not on either of these lists? Reach out anyways, and we can talk about setting something up!

A note to any Seattle area clients:

Additional travel fees are reduced for any clients booking a wedding or session within 1-2 hours of Seattle, since I have friends + family to stay with there and don’t need to charge for accommodations! If you’re a Seattle area client, let me know when you reach out so I can let you know what your travel fee is. I’m also in the Seattle area often during the summertime, so if you’re interested in booking a session while I’m already in town, all travel fees are waived!
